The Mechanical Engineering department had organized an Industrial visit for Final year students to Jadhao Icon & Packwell Industries, Amravati recently. The total 75 students along with Prof. A. M. Bhelkar, Prof. R. C. Meshram & Prof. K. H. Watane visited the Industry. The students had enjoyed the technical Endeavour at the company a lot.

E-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative, Online Valedictory Function and Lab Inaugurations at GHRCEM, Amravati.

An Inauguration Ceremony of e-Yantra Embedded Systems & Robotics Lab to be setup in association with IIT Bombay at Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, GHRCEM Amravati was arranged on dated 7th Sept. 2016. The inauguration as well as valedictory ceremony was conducted online with the help of video conferencing. E-yantra is an initiative by IIT Bombay that aims to create the next generation of embedded systems engineers with a practical outlook to help provide practical solutions to some of the real world problems. The program was handled by Dr. Saraswathi Krithivasan, she is Project Manager for the e-yantra. A team from G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati has successfully completed all the tasks given by the team e-yantra. The them is composed of Prof. S. J. Honade, Prof. Akshay B. Kadu, Prof. Shrikant P. Chavate from Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department and Prof. Amol Bhelkar from Mechanical department. For the program Dr. Ganjendra Bamnote, Dean Academics SGBAU, was present as a chief guest along with Dr. P. V. Ingole as a guest of honor and Prof. N. N. Mandaogade, Principal as a chairman of the program also Principal of GHR polytechnic Prof. P. P. Wankhade was also present. The program was conducted by team e-yantra according to the protocols suggested by IIT Bombay. The participants of the GHRCEM team were felicitated by guests and certificates were distributed. For the program all the HOD’s along with faculty members and students were present.

Department of Electrical Engineering , GHRCEM, Amravati organized an Industrial Visit to Koradi Thermal Power Station for exposing students to industrial environment & enhance their practical knowledge. The students were specially guided by Mr. Anil B. Onkar, Addl.E.E., Koradi Training Centre. They were accompanied & guided by S. Nampalliwar(AE), L.N. Bawankule & Dipti Kothariwar(JE). Prof.S.D. Wankhade, Prof. N.M. Khandare & Prof . K.A. Onkar faculty of Electrical Engineering Dept., GHRCEM, Amravati were also present during the visit.All the students were thankful to Prof. C.M. Bobade (H.o.D. Electrical Engg.) & Prof. Nitin. Mandaogade , Principal, GHRCEM, for their support & guidance.

Third Year students of Electrical Engineering Department Of GHRCEM, Amravati organized visit to Water Purification Plant, Lalkadi, Amravati on 25/08/16. Through this visit students comes to know practical implementation of various concept of Electrical Engineering. They were Guided by The Chief Exe. Engineer, Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, Lalkhadi. Faculty members Prof. P.S. Wankhade, Prof. K.A. Onkar & Prof. D.D. Taywade were also present durind this visit. All students were thankful to Prof. C. M. Bobade ( H. o. D. of Electrical Engg. Dept.) for their support.

Quiz Competition Held at GHRCEM, Amravati

Electrical Department of GHRCEM, Amravati organized quiz competition on technical knowledge under EESA(Electrical Engineering Students Association). Prof. C. M. Bobade (H.o.D. of Electrical Department) was the quest for program. Three team from this department participated in quiz contest. The event was held at seminar hall. There were total three rounds for this competition under different themes of electrical field. First prize was given to Rushikesh & team. Prod S.D. Wankhade was the coordinator of this program. Prof. Bobade congratulated to the winning team. All the students were thankful for their support & guidance.

Pool Campus Placement Drive of Indian Navy held on 22 & 23 August 2016

Pool Campus Placement Drive of Indian Navy held at GHRCEM, Amravati on 22 & 23 August 2016 for recruitment of Engineering candidates under UES-2017 scheme of Indian Navy. UES is University Entry Scheme adopted by Indian Navy for recruitment of Engineering Graduates to Navy. Commander M. P. Singh, Lt. Commander Amit Baukhandi & Lt. Commander Rahul Joshi were present for the recruitment process. The recruitment process was comprising of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Training and Placement Officer, Prof. Juned A. Khan informed Engineering Students of Amravati region about the process to be held and thus students who have registered online for attending the Campus Drive of Indian Navy have received call letters containing schedule and venue of drive. Drive received overwhelming response from students of Amravati region. Total 693 students from renowned Engineering Colleges of Amravati region were present for the pool campus placement drive. The recruitment process continued for two days. Prof. N. N. Mandaogade, Principal, GHRCEM, Mr. Vijay Kapai, Dean-Training & Placement, Nagpur and Prof. Juned A. Khan, Training & Placement Officer, GHRCEM were also present during the entire process.

Commander M. P. Singh and other navy officers appreciated the efforts taken up by the Training and Placement Team for smooth conduct of the drive. They appreciated Prof. Juned A. Khan for his efforts in organizing the Pool Campus Drive at GHRCEM, Amravati and for making the students available in good strength. Prof. N. N. Mandaogade thanked Commander for giving his valuable time and opportunity to engineering students to start their career with Indian Navy.
